Class Descriptions
Class descriptions
BeST* (barre + standing Pilates): Inspired by elements of ballet, yoga, and traditional Pilates, this class focuses on low-impact, controlled movements designed to strengthen your body in ways that few other workouts can. 50 minutes. No floorwork.
PS2* (posture, strength, & stretch): Good posture is essential for maintaining a healthy body and preventing pain and discomfort. This class will strengthen and stretch the muscles responsible for good posture, including those of the shoulders, back, hips, buttocks, lower legs, and feet. 50 minutes, including modified CIRCLE Mobility™ cooldown. Includes short floorwork.
S&B (strength and balance): Strength training maintains muscle mass, which improves mobility and bone health, allowing for more independence in later life. Better balance enhances stability, improves mental functioning (including memory and spatial cognition), and helps prevent falls. This class incorporates exercises using body weight, light weights, bands, or balls to improve both. 50 minutes. Includes short floorwork.
ZeST* (zumba silver + toning): The best of both worlds: cardio and strength. Zumba Gold® dance moves are interspersed with strengthening exercises using light weights, bands, or balls. 50 minutes. No floorwork.
Zumba Gold®: A modified Zumba® class that recreates the original moves at a lower intensity. Choreography focuses on balance, range of motion, and coordination. 50 minutes. No floorwork.
